Performance
Charmi attracted with her expressions. She turned hot in a song. Chetan Cheetu performed well as cop.
Rahul Dev played well as a baddie. Tanikella Bharani, Uttej and others performed according to their roles.
Technical
Sunil Kashyap's music is OK and background score is good. However he could have elevated the scenes with some more effects. Penchala Babu's cinematography is good.
Tanikella's editing could have been far better especially in the second half. S V Satheesh could have worked hard on story, screenplay and direction. Production values are OK.
Plus Points
Charmi's expressions
Interval block
Minus Points
Second half
Weak Story
Screenplay, Direction
No suspense, Horror
Climax
Analysis
When Mantra 2 was announced expectations soared. Debutante S V Satheesh starts off on a high note in the first scene with horror and thriller elements. However when viewers expected him to continue or take off from there he turned routine in his narration.
He ends first half quite well but in the second half he failed to elevate the thrill and horror effects to new level. Slow pace and dragged narration spoiled and climax turned out to be pretty ordinary. He couldn't get the best out of almost all the actors.
Movie lovers watched many such movies earlier and they will be put off with this effort.
Final Talk
Mantra 2 fails to mesmerize.
